The ERN perfSONAR mesh is a tool used for identifying and diagnosing network throughput and delay issues across nine statewide research networks. It was also a useful starting point for developing a regional data DMZ. The mesh included more than 25 perfSONAR nodes spanning nine states. The project was retired in 2020, with the Github repository still available for community review.
